Your mouth is essentially a window into the health of the body. The mouth can show signs that you may be at risk for disease or if you are eating foods that are not best for you. Here is a list of the most frequently asked questions and answers. Simply open the toggle to view each.   • Brush your teeth twice a day with a soft bristled tooth brush.
  • Replace your tooth brush every 3 months.
  • Regular Dental cleanings at least twice a year .

How often should I see the dentist?
Although you may regularly brush and floss your teeth, your smile needs and deserves a professional dental cleaning every six months. (Please check with your insurance on frequency limitations for exam, cleanings and x-rays.)
How can I find out if Bluejay Dental is in my network?
Please check the 800 number, or log on to the website provided on the back of your insurance card.
What if I'm pregnant?
Tell your dentist if you are, or plan to become pregnant. Continue to see your dentist for exams, treatment and cleanings. It is generally safe to be seen during this time, however we recommend most restorative treatment be completed in the second trimester.
Do you offer sedation?
We do not currently offer sedation, but our friendly staff will help you feel at ease.
At what age should my child be seen by a dentist?
We reccomend a dental visit within the first 6 months of the eruption of your childs first tooth. This will not only help monitor their oral health but introduce them to a dental setting.
Can I accompany my child?
You are more than welcome to accompany your child to their initial examination, however we also believe that parental presence is not always in the best interest of the child. We can usually establish more trust when a parent is not present. At around age 4 we encourage children to come back to the treatment room on their own, this will not only help build trust but confidence as well.
What can I do for sensitivity or bad breath?
Dental sensitivity can be caused by a number of factors, such as gum recession, diet or cavities. If you have prolonged sensitivity, you should be evaluated by your dentist. Bad breath can be caused by many factors, like tobacco use, what you eat, dry mouth, poor hygeine or infection. The best way to improve bad breath is to brush twice daily, including your tongue, and to floss.This will help remove food particles and bacteria that can cause bad breath. If you have a chronic problem, you may want to be evaluated by your dentist.
